Spongebob Squarepants Birthday Party

Spongebob wouldn’t be my first pick for a party theme but it ended up being more fun than I expected. It was a hectic few weeks so I tried to keep party preparations as simple as possible. I started by making these Spongebob invitations.

My favorite part of the party was definitely the Bikini Bottom Life Preserver! It was so easy and turned out looking fantastic!

Ahria and I got crafty with a Big Pink Paper Mache Jellyfish.

We also made these super cool and super easy Paper Lantern Jellyfish.

We hung these Paper Pineapples from our Inflatable Palm Trees. Our Inflatable Palm Tree Cooler was super awesome. We put our drinks in it and hung our Bikini Bottom Life Preserver from one of the coconuts. We bought a Yellow Pop-Up Garbage Can. It was great for pizza plates, easy cleanup!

My father-in-law made this cupcake stand for my baby shower. We took the flowers off of it, spray painted it Blue Lagoon, hot glued rope along the edges along with aquarium seaweed and shells. I glued an aquarium pineapple and palm trees that we found at PetSmart on top. I think it turned out amazing!

We had Spongebob and Patrick blow-ups along with Sandy Cheeks, Mr. Krabs, Squidward and Planktin plushies. The Spongebob Plush Head Costume was a huge hit!

*2022 Update* A lot of these aren’t available anymore! Check out this 6 piece stuffed animal set.

To top off our decorations, we put a bunch of these awesome Spongebob Wall Decals all over! Even on the front door. Ahria said “now everyone will know that Spongebob is having a party here for my birthday!”

The boys wore Spongebob and Squidward T-shirts. Ahria and I wore matching brown tutus. The baby wore a Pineapple Costume which he kept asking me to put on him everyday for a week prior to the party!

For the food table we used Sand Pals, shovels, and this huge Spongebob Scene Setter for the background. It came with a Happy Birthday Banner and a photo of Spongebob and Patrick.

The final addition to the fun was life preserver doughnuts from a local shop, Ridge Donut Cafe. We have gotten doughnuts from here for Ahria’s party since she was born. They were phenomenal, as usual, and looked so cool!

The party was a huge success! Ahria loved helping contribute with crafts and decorations.
