Worker Bee Rush – A Colors Game
Worker Bee Rush will have your kids learning colors while having a blast! Mix 2 primary colors to make primary or secondary colors. Move your bees and stop on flowers to collect pollen. Get the pollen back to the hive before winter hits! With strategy and a little bit of luck, you will be bringing back pollen and learning colors in no time!
Set up:
Print out 2 of each color card pages. Cut out the worker bee, snowflake and pollen game pieces. Cut out the yellow, blue and red game cards.
Trim and tape the 4 game board pieces together. Place the bees on the hive to start. Make a pile of snowflakes and pollen next to the board.
How to play:
The objective is to bring 4 pollen baskets back to the hive before winter hits. The first player draws 2 cards. Mix the two colors together to get either a primary or secondary color. Move to the closest space of that color. If there is more than one option, you can choose which one to go to.
Special Spaces
Snowflake Spaces: If you land on a snowflake, add one snowflake to the Winter Counter on the board. If 5 snowflakes fill the counter, you lose!
Beehive Spaces: Go back to the beehive and start again.
Flower Spaces: Collect 1 pollen basket to bring back to the hive. Once you bring 4 pollen baskets back to the hive, you win!
RULES
You CANNOT pass another bee. You must go around them.
If you cannot move, you must place a snowflake on the winter counter.
If you have a pollen basket, you may not land on another flower until you drop it at the hive.
Once you drop your pollen basket at the hive, you must go back out onto the board on your next turn.
You must move your bee if it is possible.
You must stop at the FIRST space of the color you picked up. Flowers count as a space.
To enter the hive, you must pick up a primary color. If there is a space in between you and the hive of the color you pick up, you must go to the space and try again on your next turn.
