Valentine’s Day Paper Chain
We’ve been on a Valentine’s Day craft kick! Yesterday we made a Heart Suncatcher Garland to hang in the window and today we made this adorable Valentine’s Day Paper Chain! This is perfect for a Valentine’s Day celebration and an enjoyable craft to do with the kids.
You will need:
Construction Paper
Scissors
Ruler
Pencil
Stapler or Tape
Instructions
- Use a ruler to cut one inch wide strips of construction paper.
- Take a strip and fold it in half. This will be the bottom point of the heart.
- Fold the two ends together back to back and staple them (or use a long piece of tape). I found it best to staple about a thumbnail distance from the edge.
*Tip* If your hearts are a little wonky, I’ve found gently pulled them apart at the staple makes them stay.
- Continue the chain by looping the next heart through the first one before you staple.
*Tip* When you are finished with your chain, turn each heart so they are face up. This will look a lot nicer!
We hung ours along the wall in the kid’s room to decorate for Valentine’s Day.
