The Best YouTube Channel for Teaching Kids to Draw

As a mom and homeschooler of two, I know how important it is to find resources that make learning fun and easy. When it comes to teaching my kids how to draw, I was thrilled to discover a YouTube channel that not only captivates their attention but also offers clear, step-by-step instructions that make drawing accessible for all skill levels. This is especially true because I am… well, terrible at drawing! Whether you’re homeschooling, looking for a creative outlet for your little ones, or even wanting to learn something new yourself, this channel is a wonderful resource for families to enjoy together.

Our first try was Donkey Kong.

Then we tried a Christmas Penguin.

We drew a couple Koopas.

Most recently, we are working on checking off our Spring Bucket List which includes drawing a spring picture. These are really cool because they open and close for a special surprise! I think you can really see the progress in our drawings.

These drawing videos are great for building fine motor skills, creativity, and confidence. Plus, they second as art class for our homeschooling. We like to draw them on Cardstock so they hold up better to markers and erasing. We also bought Alcohol Based Markers which we love!

Here’s a few more of my kid’s drawings.

The YouTube channel we use for drawing is Art for Kids Hub, and we absolutely love it! The instructions are clear, easy to follow, and perfect for kids (and even adults) of all skill levels. One of the best things about it is that we can pause the video whenever we need to, allowing us to go at our own pace and make sure every step is just right.

Here’s the video we did for our Spring Bucket List. The drawing opens to reveal a surprise!

I know you are going to love Art for Kids Hub so go check it out!
