St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt
My favorite thing to do with the kids is set up surprise activities for them to find in the morning. We did Magic Lollipops last Spring and the kids were SO excited. This year for St. Patrick’s Day I kind of went all out. Okay, I SERIOUSLY went ALL OUT! I’m so glad I did because the littles had a BLAST! We made Cotton Ball Painted 4-Leaf Clovers, Leprechaun Boots, Rainbow 4-Leaf Clover Garland AND St. Patrick’s Day Binoculars.
Our St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt started with this note taped to the bedroom door. I even made a blank one for you in case you want to write your own!

Here I left them these super cute outfits and magical St. Patrick’s Day Binoculars that Miss 4 and I made the other day. While she was sleeping, I decorated them with sequin and told her the leprechaun must have made them magical!
Once they were changed, we began the search! I told them to keep an eye out for the sneaky, trickster leprechaun. “He could be anywhere!”
They checked off each item on their list as they found it. They were super excited about this part!
I hid the Shiny Gems in a candle holder, the Lucky Penny on their trampoline, Gold Nuggets on the napkins, Leprechaun Boots on the mantle, A Rainbow on the wine wrack, A Hat on the stairs, A Gold Coin on the slide and finally A 4-Leaf Clover in the office.
As soon as we checked off the last item, I had hubby knock on the front door and I asked them who they thought it could be. The look that came over my daughter’s face was fantastic! We opened the door to find a note from Lucky and a pot of gold with a few goodies.

You have to give this a try with your littles! We had a great time. Miss 4 really got into the search with her binoculars and loved finding a little reward on the front steps.

This is such a creative idea. I loved scavenger hunts when I was little so I can only imagine how much fun it will be to put one together for my kids. This is such a great way to make something out of St. Patrick’s day for the little ones. Thank you for the inspiration and for sharing.

Thank you! I loved scavenger hunts too. We used to run around the neighborhood asking for things on our list like paper clips or pennies. We don’t live in a neighborhood anymore but this was more fun anyway!
