Spider Web Craft
Creating a fun and spooky spider web craft is a great way to get into the Halloween spirit! This cute project uses popsicle sticks, yarn, and a pompom spider to bring the web to life. It’s perfect for kids and adults alike, encouraging creativity while developing fine motor skills. With just a few materials, you can create a web to hang as decoration or use as part of imaginative play. This Spider Web Craft was a great addition to our fall decorations.
You will need:
Yarn
Popsicle sticks – regular or jumbo
Black Pom Pom
Glue – tacky glue is my favorite for this kind of craft but elmers or hot glue would work too
Googly Eyes
Black String
To make the base of the spider web, use a dab of glue to glue together 3 popsicle sticks. Evenly space them out so they look like a snowflake. Hot glue works the best for this since it dries quickly and is tough.
To make the web, starting with the center, wrap your yarn around each popsicle stick, slowly moving outward until you reach the end of the popsicle sticks.
I love how each of the webs came out different.
To make the spider, take 3 short pieces of black string and tie them together. Glue the pompom to the strings and add googly eyes.
