Snowman Cards
Our Christmas Tree Cards from last year have started a new tradition! We had so much fun making them and I hope to continue making our own Christmas cards for a long time! These adorable snowmen are perfect for sending loved ones a special note this holiday season! These Christmas cards from the kids are certainly worth treasuring.
You will need:
Googly Eyes (we like the self-adhesive)
Construction Paper (orange construction paper and patterned scrapbook paper or any color construction paper for the scarf)
Black Marker
Scissors
Glue (we like tacky glue)
Cardstock
Buttons
Instructions:
Before I call the kids in for craft time, I get everything ready in their activity trays. It’s much less hectic this way.
Cut scarfs out of scrapbook paper or construction paper and make them the width of the card. Then, cut a small piece for the scarf that will hang down.
Cut orange carrot noses out of construction paper.
Cut 8.5 x 11 cardstock paper in half portrait style.
Fold each piece in half creating a card.
Now it’s the kid’s turn!
On the front of the card, with the card opening from the right, place 2 googly eyes at the top. You can use black marker if you don’t have googly eyes!
Next, glue on the carrot nose.
Draw black dots to create a smile.
Glue on the scarf with a small piece hanging down to create the classic scarf look.
Glue on 3 buttons.
Write a nice message and send your Christmas cards out to friends and family! These are a cute surprise for Christmas dinner too! I just love how these came out and I can’t wait for everyone to get theirs!
