Rain Cloud Bead Craft
Here’s a wonderful fine motor bead craft! Perfect for Spring, Summer or St. Patrick’s Day! My daughter came up with this craft all on her own. I am super proud of her! Check out her video explaining how to secure the beads to the yarn.
You will need:
Pony Beads
Yarn or String
Contruction Paper
Yarn Needle – optional but very helpful
Template (download at the bottom of this page)
Print out the template and cut out the shapes. Use the sun template to cut a yellow circle and orange sun rays out of construction paper. You could also color the template with colored pencils or markers.

On the back of the cloud, tape pieces of yarn. Ours are around 10 inches long. String beads onto the yarn. A yarn needle will help a ton, especially with the little ones. Otherwise, the yarn will fray easily.

Here’s my son’s version. He is 4 and was incredibly good at threading the beads. I was honestly just blown away at how well he did.

Here’s a video of my daughter explaining how to secure the beads so they don’t fall off the yarn.
