Paper Plate Sun & Rainbow Craft

With recent Coronavirus events keeping us from visiting our families, we decided to bring them a little sunshine! These Paper Plate Sun and Rainbows were easy to make and a great gift for our loved ones. A little something to look at each day as a reminder of how much we love them!

You will need:
Paper Plates
Paint or Kwik Stix
Tape
Stapler
Construction Paper
Paper Cutter
or Scissors

Instructions:

You need 2 paper plates per sun. Start by painting the plates yellow. Usually, I use Kwik Stix for this type of craft because they are so easy and ZERO mess, but ours are missing at the moment. We used water color paint.

Cut 1 inch strips of construction paper for the rainbow. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green and Blue.

Tape the strips to the inside of one of the plates. We arranged them in a V shape.

Staple the plates together with the yellow sides facing out.

Cut Orange triangles for the sun rays and staple them on.

Draw a face on your sun!

Deliver them to friends and family as a special reminder that even when it’s raining, the sun is still there.
