Melted Crayon Pumpkins

These hand-crafted pumpkins are made by melting colorful crayons onto real pumpkins. They make a lovely fall decoration and are also perfect for Halloween! Each pumpkin is unique and no two are exactly alike. The kids and I went to the pumpkin patch and picked out a bunch of small pumpkins.

You will need:
Pumpkins
Crayons
Hot Glue or Tacky Glue
Hair Dryer
A Cup or Mug
Wax paper, box or table cover for easy cleanup

1. Start by peeling the paper off your crayons. We had a giant box of old and broken crayons that I have been saving. They worked perfect for melting!

2. Glue your crayons onto your pumpkin. You can glue them to the top or bottom of the pumpkin. We wanted the wax to look like it was crawling up so we glued the crayons to the bottom of our pumpkins. I used a mug covered in wax paper to hold the pumpkin upside down.

3. BEFORE YOU START MELTING, put your pumpkin inside of a box. The crayons will splatter. Turn your blow dryer on high heat and start melting!

These turned out so cute! We put them with our fall decorations outside. We will definitely make more of these next year.
