Let’s Build An Apple – A is for Apple

Introduce your students to the Letter A with this engaging “Let’s Build an Apple” resource! This fun, hands-on activity includes a center where students can assemble their own apples, apple crafts, tracing pages for practicing letter formation, and wall cards for decoration and letter recognition. Centers

The centers for this Let’s Build An Apple resource is so much fun. My son jumped in to play with it as I was taking pictures. The idea is to follow directions to create the apple. There is a full apple version and a bitten apple version. Print the page, cut out the pieces, place them in a bin and let your students follow the directions page to create their apples. There are black and white and colored versions of each center.

Crafts

There are 2 crafts to build an apple (one whole apple and one bitten) with 2 different difficulties (more or less cutting). Each comes in color or black and white. Have your students color, cut and glue their apples together. You can use the tracing worksheet to add to their crafts. This is a great way to show off student’s artwork and writing practice.

Editable Apple Names

These Editable Name Apples are perfect for helping students practice writing and spelling their names! Simply download the KG Primary Dots Lined Font, open the file in a PDF editor like Adobe, and type the desired name or word on each apple. You can also leave them blank to write on however you like. These apples are great for bulletin boards and classroom displays! They come in color and black and white.

Wall Cards & Finger Tracing Mats

There are 3 pages of wall cards and a finger tracing mat. Decorate your classroom or homeschool space with these “A is for Apple” wall cards. These three pages of vibrant posters are perfect for decorating while also reinforcing letter recognition.
