Left And Right Apples
As spring paints our world with vibrant hues, we are adding to them with our new cherry and apple trees! We are super excited to be able to gather our own apples in the future. But it’s not just about the apple trees, it’s about the memories we create together, nurturing life and celebrating the seasons.
As we plant our cherry and apple trees, I’m thrilled to see my daughter and son joining in the gardening adventure. They’ve taken on the task of raking the dead grass and adding it to our compost pile. We are taking over a part of our hill that was previously meadow to make room for our fruit trees. Discovering the magic of composting and the importance of caring for our garden ecosystem. These moments of learning and cultivating together are what truly make this season special. With each turn of the soil and each new sprout, we’re not just growing plants; we’re growing a love for nature and a deeper connection to the world around us.
And while we’re at it, why not add a dash of learning fun? I made this apple worksheet for the kids to practice left and right directional concepts. Color either the left or right apple in each row according to the directions. It’s a low-key way to sneak in some learning while enjoying the outdoors.
So, whether you’re digging in the dirt or spreading out the crayons, let’s soak up the sunshine, cherish these moments, and watch as our apple trees and our children grow with the seasons. Here’s to springtime adventures and the simple joys of family time!
Even our new puppy Philo joins us on our gardening adventures. He hung out on the cart while we picked out our cherry and apple trees. Check out my post on Puppyschooling – Homeschooling With A Puppy for training resources and how we are integrating a puppy into our busy lives.
