Leaf Printing

While scavenging in the yard the other day, the kids noticed the different textures on leaves and flowers. I had an old poster board upstairs and thought it would be cool to paint the leaves and press them on the paper. The kids have been pretty craft deprived with all the summer happenings so they were really excited at the idea!

You will need:
Poster Board or Paper
Nature Findings – Leaves, flowers, sticks
Paint – We used Dauber Dawgs. I felt these were better than regular paint because it limits how much comes out at a time making a nicer print.

Gather up some cool looking leaves and flowers. Pick the ones with accentuated lines and textures. Then, paint them and stamp them on your board!

To get the best print, rub all over the leaf as you are pushing it down. Then, carefully pull up the leaf.
