Invitation to Craft – Turkeys

Fall is the perfect time to make some turkeys! These are simple enough for most littles to do with minimal help. I put together this Invitation To Craft in 10 minutes while the kids were sleeping and presented it to Miss 4 in the morning. She LOVED it and they turned out super cute. You could even use these as cards for Thanksgiving Day!

You will need:
Construction Paper
Scissors
Glue Stick
Googly Eyes (self-adhesive are my favorite!)

Instructions:

1. Cut a few pieces of construction paper in half. This will be the background.
2. Cut out large and medium sized circles for the body and head.
3. Cut yellow and orange triangles for the beak.
4. Cut orange and yellow trapezoids for the feet.
5. Cut a funky red tube for the snood (you know, that gross hanging part on the turkey!).

I used Thanksgiving colors but you could brighten it up with rainbow or pastels!

Download the template at the bottom of this page.

6. Start by gluing the legs to the body. Then glue the body to the bottom of your background page.

7. Glue the feathers onto the top of the body. You can arrange them however you like but I think it looks best with a center feather and two angled on each side towards the center feather.

8. Glue the head at the bottom of the feathers. Glue on the eyes, snood and finally the beak.

We decorated her door with her turkeys.
