Invitation to Craft Snowmen
My daughter had a blast making these Invitation to Craft Snowmen. Miss 4 has never used cotton balls before so this was a good sensory craft for her. She liked that it made the snowmen “poofy.” These were a perfect start to her seasonal craft door decorations! I cut the pieces the night before while jamming to Jingle Bell Rock.
Print the Snowman Template and cut out however many you want to make. If you don’t want to use a construction paper background, you can print the snowmen on Cardstock so it’s stronger.
Snowman Template
You will need:
Cotton Balls
Felt
Twigs
Pipe Cleaners
Buttons
Googly Eyes
Construction Paper
For the background, cut full sheets of construction paper in half. Cut hats, scarves and an orange nose out of felt. I cut strips of red and green for the hats. We used pipe cleaners for the mouth, black buttons and googly eyes.
Spread glue all over the snowman and glue on your cotton balls. I personally like the way it looked when we pulled the cotton balls apart a bit. Miss 4 liked the way the balls stayed clumpy.
Miss 4 tucked the twigs under the cotton balls all on her own. I notice her learning little tricks like this from crafting all the time.
She’s super proud of her adorable little snowmen. They are a fun addition to her Christmas decorations.
