Use half sheets of pink, blue and black construction paper for the background.

Cut a handful of small rainbow rectangles for the sprinkles. I used the scraps from the ice cream scoops.

Cut the ice cream scoops, cones, chocolate sauce, whipped cream and cherries.

You can do one scoop of ice cream per cone or stack them to make a huge cone! Draw a pattern on the cone to create a waffle look.

Miss 4 practiced tracing the shapes with glue along the edges.

Of course, her favorite part was gathering all the tiny sprinkles and decorating the scoops. She told me what each color scoop tasted like. Green was pistachio, blue blueberry, red strawberry, purple grape. It was cool to see her recognize a color as a flavor too.

She has her ice cream cones on display over her bed.
