Wrap And Reveal – A Christmas Activity For Toddlers
We call our 16 month old “the destroyer of all things good and bad”! He loves to knock things over, break things, throw things, and RIP things! What toddler doesn’t? I thought if I wrapped a little surprise for him to rip apart he would enjoy it. He definitely did! I made one for my 4 year old too.
You will need:
Cardboard
Wrapping Paper – I used old pieces of leftover wrapping paper.
Print these Surprise Pictures – or you could use Christmas cards. Cards with textures would be nice for sensory!
Cut each picture into a square and glue them onto a piece of cardboard. Cut the wrapping paper a bit larger than each picture so that each piece covers each picture.
Fold the wrapping paper in half. Starting at the middle, cut a small diagonal line up and then down to make an X. Glue along the edges only and cover each picture.
That’s it! Now let the little ones tear the wrapping paper to reveal the pictures.
This only took me 10 minutes to put together. It was a perfect activity before bedtime last night when everyone was getting cranky.
They both loved this and were looking for more to rip afterward. Ripping paper is exciting!
