37 Easter Basket Stuffers For Kids – No Candy!

Easter is so much fun! The spring weather and pastels have me totally excited. I love leaving a special surprise for the kids on Easter morning but I don’t like filling their Easter baskets with candy. My daughter has teeth issues so we try to keep her sugar intake to a minimum. Here is a great list of things for you to stuff your children’s Easter baskets with that don’t involve candy! We like to do one bigger item and a few small items.

1. Easy to fly – Rainbow Kite

We found a giant airplane kite in our basement and gave it a whirl. It was so hard to fly but we had a lot of fun trying! I ordered this easy to fly kite for my daughter this Easter.

**UPDATE** This kite is THE BEST! We also received this Octopus Kite for my son. It looks super awesome in the sky!

2. 360 Spinning RC Stunt Car

My daughter has a Pink Jeep RC Car that my son loves to drive, but they are constantly fighting over it. This remote controlled car is small and inexpensive, perfect for his Easter basket this year!

3. Sidewalk Chalk

I LOVE chalking on the driveway. We have this set and it’s really awesome! It has tie-dye, neon, glitter, bright and pastel colors, a sharpener and 2 chalk holders so your hands don’t get messy (my least favorite thing about chalking!).

4. Kids Garden Tool Set

This is a great quality kids set for gardening. The metal holds up much better than the plastic sets. Having the smock with pockets is perfect for planting flowers!

5. Kids Yard Tools Set

These are a little big for a basket but an awesome gift for Spring! We have been raking and leveling the whole yard. My littles follow close behind with their shovels, rakes and Peg Perego Tractors. This set is awesome for getting the kids involved with yard work!

6. Bubble Wands

My daughter loves anything to do with bubbles. These bubble wands are her favorite. I like them because if they get spilled, it isn’t a big deal. I like to get a big bottle of bubbles and refill these smaller wands. Walmart has big bottles of grape scented bubbles that the kids love!

7. Easter Egg Stamps

How cute are these little Easter egg stamps? You could use these for Easter egg hunts without candy or as an Easter basket stuffer. These are great for developing fine motor skills and hand muscles necessary for writing and everyday tasks.

8. Butterfly Garden Kit

We just ordered our caterpillars to grow our butterflies this spring. It’s our first time doing this and Miss 4 is so excited!! Watching the life cycle of a butterfly is a great teaching opportunity. Teaching life cycles helps children connect with nature and the world around them.

**UPDATE** We had a blast growing our caterpillars and watching them transform into butterflies. I made this awesome pack of resources to use with our butterfly garden and it’s available to you for FREE in my TPT store. There is coloring pages, scissor practice, reading practice, facts and more. There is also 2 options for observing caterpillars and their different stages.

9. Spot It Card Game

Spot It is our family’s favorite game! I am amazed at how good my 4 year old is at spotting the pictures so quickly! This game really gets the mind working and recognizing matching pictures. Spot It is super easy to play and tons of fun!

10. Yookidoo Bath Toys

These are The Greatest Bath Toys EVER! My kids sit in the tub for at least an hour playing with these. The red cup plays “peek a boo” when you stack it in the blue cup and add water. The spout works great and keeps my son from trying to stand and turn the faucet on.

11. TOMY Toomies Hide & Squeak Eggs

Great for Easter egg hunts with little ones! These eggs are great for fine motor skills and color recognition.

12. Paint & Plant Flower Growing Kit

This might be the perfect Easter gift! My daughter just made one of these and the flowers are already sprouting. She loved decorating her own planter and signs for her plants. **Pro Tip** Use your own acrylic paints. The paints that come with this kit are a little see through when they dry. We like to use these paints.

13. Foam Capsule Animal Suprise

Are these cheaply made and a bit silly? Yes, but my daughter is obsessed with these! She loves watching them grow and unfold into animals. She plays with them for a few days afterward and takes them in the tub. Super fun but won’t last forever.

14. Easter Rainbow Scratch Art Ornaments

I have always loved scratch art and now my daughter does too! Scratch art Easter ornaments are a great way to develop fine motor skills and pencil grip. Your kids will love decorating the house with their creations.

15. Slime Filled Eggs with Dinosaur Surprise

How awesome are these slime filled eggs! My son would love these. Great for sensory play and Easter egg hunts!

16. Sunglasses

My kids love wearing sunglasses, but they always end up broken. They LOVE to pull the sides out too far and watch them snap! These flexible sunglasses look like the perfect solution! I might need to grab these for our baskets this year!

17. Sand Toys

This beach toy kit is perfect! It comes with a working dump truck, shovel, rake, sifter, bucket, pinwheel and 3 sand molds. My kids love sifting the sand clean and using the dump truck to move all the sand from one side of the box to the other.

18. Lightsaber Toothbrush

My kids have never seen Star Wars but they LOVED these toothbrushes. They make noises as you move the brush around and they light up. It used to be a struggle to get my 1 year old to brush his teeth but now, he is all about it!

19. Brainquest Decks

I remember loving these as a child. My daughter has a few of them and does so well! These are really great for learning about the alphabet, colors, shapes, animals and more!

20. Organic Herb Garden Kit – Garden Republic

We just planted our organic herbs from our garden kit. This kit includes 4 herbs – Basil, Thyme, Cilantro and Parsley, 4 burlap growing pots, 4 soil disks, 4 bamboo plant markers, shears and a wooden growing box. This was so much fun to do with my 4 year old! We’re really excited to see our plants develop and learn about each one.

21. Kid’s Jewelry

Cute necklaces and bracelets for pretend play!

22. Hopper Ball

My daughter has The Horse Version of the hopper ball and my son has The Dinosaur Version. They are always hopping around the house. Both of my kids have spent countless hours on these! A perfect toy to burn off some extra energy.

23. Window Art Project

We made these suncatcher projects last summer and they turned out super cute! It comes with paint, hangers for the window and string. My daughter and I loved doing these together!

**UPDATE** We just bought this for a second time because the kids enjoyed them so much!

24. Alphabet Go Fish!

This Alphabet go fish card game is seriously awesome. The cards are bigger than average and easy to hold. My daughter goes through her hand one at a time instead of holding it in a fan, which works out nicely. Each card has a cute illustration. A fun way to learn letters, their sounds and words that start with each letter. I recommend this for anyone with children! CLICK HERE to learn more about Alphabet Go Fish!

25. First 100 Words Sticker Book

This is a great sticker book for little ones still learning to read. Some of the stickers can be a bit tough to peel but overall it was worth it. The pictures are very appealing and easy to recognize. Some of the stickers are words that you have to match to the picture and some are pictures that you match to the words.

26. Easter Eggs Filled With Pull Back Cars

Pull back and let go cars are the best! My kids like to race them. These suprise eggs are perfect for Easter celebrations!

27. Bubble Machine Gun

We buy one of these each year and honestly, they don’t usually last long. The kids really enjoy them, though, and they are inexpensive so I think they are totally worth it! They love running around the yard tagging each other with bubbles.

28. Play-Doh

We love this sparkle play-doh kit. It comes with a butterfly cut out, perfect for spring! Play-doh is one of the best stuffers because it’s so inexpensive and FUN!

29. Do-A-Dot Paints

My daughter got Do-A-Dots last year for Easter from her Grandma and WE LOVE THEM! They are almost completely mess free – no paintbrushes, water or excess paint. They are wonderful for fine motor activities.

30. Reading & Spelling Puzzles

These are amazing for learning to read, spell and for developing fine motor skills. They come in different styles – ABCs, 3 letter words, 4 letter words, rhymes etc.

31. * Walmart TIP! * In the crafts section in MOST Walmarts, there is a spot where they have kids wooden crafts with acrylic paints for REALLY CHEAP! Some are already put together and others are build-your-own. I’ve found treasure chests, bird houses, pirate ships, jewelry boxes and more for all less than $4! These would be awesome Easter basket stuffers!

Easter Books

Simple Craft Supplies

Okay, I know I said no candy… And I meant it! BUT if their is one exception to the rule it would be Zollipops. No sugar, all natural and they still taste good! Our favorite flavors are strawberry and raspberry.
